Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use ClaudeFinanceLab. The site is intended for professional and educational use by finance practitioners and is not directed at children. By using the site you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or, if applicable, your employer.

2. Accounts & API Keys

• Registering an API key requires a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping any API key confidential and for all activity that occurs under it.
• We may suspend or revoke an API key at any time, with or without notice, for suspected abuse, excessive load, violation of these terms, or non-payment.
• Rate limits, daily call quotas, and tier features (Free, Pro, Enterprise, Admin) are as published on /pricing/ at the time of use and may change with notice on that page.
• We do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or response time for the API/MCP gateway absent a separate written enterprise agreement stating an SLA.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the site, API, or any MCP server to violate applicable law, including securities, financial services, data protection, or export control law
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, tier restrictions, or authentication controls
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute API responses or site content in bulk without written permission
• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content in reviews, skill submissions, MCP server submissions, job listings, or contact/feedback forms
• Use the site to transmit malware, attempt unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with service to other users
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting a review, job listing, or MCP server for certification

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section at our sole discretion.

4. Payment, Subscriptions & Refunds

Where a paid product is offered — including a Pro API subscription, an MCP server certification engagement, an evaluation engagement, a job listing, the actuarial toolkit, or the CPE course — the following applies unless a specific written agreement states otherwise:

• Prices shown on /pricing/, /certification/, /jobs/, and /course/ are subject to change; the price in effect at the time of purchase applies to that purchase.
• Subscriptions (e.g. Pro tier) renew on the billing cycle you select and may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.
• Job listings are time-limited (currently 30 days per the price shown) and non-refundable once the listing has been published, except where the listing was not published due to our error.
• Digital products (the actuarial toolkit, course modules) are non-refundable once delivered or once course access has been granted, except as required by applicable consumer protection law.
• Waitlist signup for the course or community is free and creates no payment obligation; pricing shown for founding-member or launch tiers is an intention, not a binding offer, until you complete an actual purchase.
• We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or availability of any paid product prospectively, with reasonable notice on the relevant page.

5. Job Board Terms

The jobs board aggregates and curates listings, some sourced from third-party job boards and some submitted directly by employers. Regarding all listings, whether curated or paid:

• ClaudeFinanceLab is not the employer for any listed role, is not a party to any resulting employment relationship, and does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, currency, or legitimacy of any listing.
• Listings may become outdated, filled, or removed by the employer without our knowledge. Always verify a listing directly with the employer before applying or relying on any detail (title, compensation, location, or requirements).
• We do not guarantee any minimum number of applicants, views, or hires for a paid job listing.
• An employer submitting a paid listing represents that the listing is accurate, that the role genuinely exists, and that they have the right to post it. We may remove any listing at our discretion, including for suspected fraud or misrepresentation, without refund if removal follows a violation of these terms.

6. User-Submitted Content

When you submit a review, rating, skill or MCP server request, job listing, comment, or feedback (including via the site's feedback widget), you grant ClaudeFinanceLab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the site and in related marketing. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights. We may edit, remove, or decline to publish any submitted content at our discretion, including reviews we believe to be fraudulent or a paid/incentivized review not disclosed as such.

7. Intellectual Property

All site content — articles, skill templates, prompt libraries, code examples, design, and the ClaudeFinanceLab name and marks — is owned by ClaudeFinanceLab or its licensors. You may use skill and prompt templates for your own personal or internal professional use. You may not reproduce, republish, resell, or redistribute site content in bulk, or use the ClaudeFinanceLab name or marks, without our prior written permission. See also Section 6 for the license you grant us in content you submit.

8. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice via our contact form identifying the copyrighted work, the material you believe is infringing and its location on the site, and your contact information. We will investigate and remove or disable access to material we determine in good faith to be infringing.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site, API, and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. See our Disclaimer for detailed limitations specific to content accuracy and AI-generated output — that page is incorporated into these terms by reference.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClaudeFinanceLab and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the site, the API, or any content, prompt, calculation, job listing, course, or toolkit — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ClaudeFinanceLab and its operators from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the site or API; your violation of these terms; content you submit (reviews, job listings, MCP server or skill submissions); or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, your API key, or any account at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 7 through 11 and 13 through 16 — will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site should first be raised informally via our contact form so we can attempt to resolve it directly. If informal resolution fails, any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

15. Entire Agreement & Severability

These terms, together with the Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ClaudeFinanceLab regarding use of the site, superseding any prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

16. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
